For Sale: 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in woodland hills, California

Vehicle Description

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE (Special Edition)
this is one of the top RESTOMODS Mopar Muscle Cars in America today. Just a few months ago.

Here's the history of the car...it was first done by Mr. Norm's as a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T (rare) SE (Special Edition) Resto Mod Challenger. Which was bought and professionally built by Dick Landy Industries under (one-off) agreement with the original Mr. Norm. Original Grand Spaulding Registry. Mr. Norm and "Dandy" Dick Landy were internationally known as the Mopar muscle car experts. Their cars are some of the most collectible Mopar cars of all-time. The customizing outfit of Mr. Norms used to be known as Time Machines and Mr. Norm's Garage owned by Mike Staveski. Mike had been working with Norm and Dick Landy since 1979.Mike has been building Custom & Resto Mod Mopars on his own since 1992, he put the first V-10 in a Challenger back in 1997 that was featured in Hot Rod Magazine. He has built numerous cars that won Chrysler's Design of Excellence award, Top 5 Street Machine of the Year, Top 5 Custom Rod of the year, and the list goes on and on. This is the pedigree of this car BEFOREI fully restored it to award-winning status.

I bought this car personally from "Dandy" Dick back in 1993 as it was his daily driver "street" car in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles California, when he made the deal with me to acquire it. It has been in my custodial care since that time and I have restored it completely to its current luster you see here...

This particular car is truly spectacular, no detail was left undone, and you will not be disappointed with this one. I put over 1000 hours in the build always using the highest quality parts that combine the best of old with the best of new. Such as a Dick Landy Industries fabricated and Engineered an Aluminum 3-link Pan hard rod rear suspension to work in this Challenger. It features all DLI fabricated parts with Single Adjustable Coil overs as well as a power rack and pinion steering unit.(DLI was known as one of the premier Mopar performance companies in the world)

A newly rebuilt by Larry Ofriahttp://www.valleyhead.com/VALLEY HEAD SERVICE600 HP 440 engine and Mopar Performance Cams, lifters and roller rockers were used. Only 1000 miles have been put on the engine since its rebuild. It is plumed for Nitrous but there has never been any run through the motor, the car has a great muscle car sound with the Hooker headers and dual exhaust. Motor is a 505 Cu in now W Holley Carbs (new)

All Mopar Performance accessory drive parts were used on the engine. It uses a 727 transmission that replaced the original 4-Speed manual transmission, a 2:93 gear final drive to make the car more "street able" for driving enjoyment This car drives better than it looks, the only thing I can compare the ride and handling of this car is to the Dodge Viper-based chassis cars. Upgraded suspension Front Bilstiens, rear coil overs, upgraded front and rear Brembo brakes w powder coated calipers the larger ones not the little ones, car stops great. Hydro Boost master cylinder, Upgraded  Radiator and cooling, No heating issues,18inch fronts and 20 Inch rears on New tires, Alligator top, and headliner, Full upgraded gauge console, Upgraded stereo, Dual batteries w cut offs. Removable steering wheel, Safety cage, German Carpet, sound deadened interior, all new glass, weather stripping, No rust or prior repairs, and body is straight and gaps are very good.

The car was painted base coat / clear coat in the correct shade of FERRARI PEARL YELLOW (see photo for color code) with WHITE DIAMOND GOLD PEARL accent stripes and all the graphics on the car are painted and cleared over. The paint on this car is extremely excellent and no expense was spared when I had the car restored. In fact, everyone who sees it is blown away as it was painted by legendary California Painter "Junior" from House of Colors at a cost to me of$19,500.00for the paint job alone, Done as a favor because Jr’s paint starts at 75k  ( google him) The paint is beyond words. This car draws a crowd everywhere, a fun, reliable car that will put a smile on your face
