THE STORY BEHIND THIS 1966 FORD FAIRLANE GT
A few months ago, a gentleman from Virginia purchased a beautiful 1965 Mustang Fastback GT-350 Clone from us and traded two "Monster Horsepower" cars in the deal. This Incredible 1966 Fairlane with it's 800-1000 HP SHELBY SCJ 429 and the other was a 1987 Chevy S-10 (which we just sold) with a 400-600 HP Chevy 350. You see ... his father, brother and himself were major "Monster Horsepower" car fanatics and engineered, built and drove their own cars. Well ... his father developed a terminal illness and passed away ... and then ... his brother succumbed to a heart attack. When he agreed to trade his cars it was with the caveat that they were almost complete builds (drivetrains were complete) ... but ... we would have to finish some interior and exterior items. He expressed, that he just could not bring himself to complete these last two family builds.
Well ... when they arrived, I was thrilled. I am 68 years old and have never really been around this type of car. WOW! WOW! WOW!
This Fairlane is all about the engine ... and what a engine it is ...
A Dove-A block, 1971 SCJ 429 with 4 Bolt Mains, Bored 40,000, Balanced & Blue Printed, Custom made SCJ Pistons, Matching 1971 SCJ Heads, Ported & Polished, 3/8 Motorsport Push Rods & Glide Plates, Solid Roller Comp Cam with Matching Roller Lifters, Racing Springs, Titanium Retainers, Sharp Roller Rockers & Girdles, Blue Thunder Twin Intake, 2-660 Racing Holley's, 50cc Center Feed, Mallory Distributor, Racing Wires .... and .... a Pro-Racing Harmonic Balancer.
It is not a perfect Show Car .. just ... P O W E R F U L !!!

We sold the S-10 to a wonderful gentleman (63 years old) who genuinely appreciated it's Horsepower ... and ... even had a "NOS" system installed.
We completed the interior of the Fairlane except for the headliner, door sills, dash work and other miscellaneous items. So ... it still needs some tweaking! But ... the "MONSTER SHELBY SCJ 429" engine is probably worth more than what we are able to sell you the whole car for.
