500 Coupe In the early 1960's, Ford Motor Company used names for
cars that referenced the famous "Space Race" period to help draw
the attention of car buyers. With names like Comet, Meteor, Falcon,
Thunderbird, the name "Galaxie" was a perfect fit for the full-size
car. Ford Galaxie was one of the most popular full-size automobiles
of its time and came in a variety of trims, body styles and engine
options. With a multitude of engine, transmission, and convenience
options available, the entire Galaxie line was an unqualified
success that also benefited from the excitement associated with
Ford's "Total Performance" campaign. This beautiful 1963 Ford
Galaxie was ordered with the factory Z Code 390 V-8 rated at an
impressive 300 horsepower. Finished in classic Heritage Burgundy,
the paint is well presented over a straight body, which displays
good panel and door fit throughout. The XL interior features bucket
seats, a factory console, monster tach, ray brown reproduction
3-inch seat belts, a Hurst 4 speed shifter and clock. It is also
equipped with power steering and brakes. The car is finished off
with a set of period correct classic Cragar SuperSport wheels. At a
fraction of the cost of an "R" code or "Q" code car, this factory
"Z" code FE torque monster drives, shifts and sounds very nice and
has a great 60's look with its fiberglass teardrop hood. It also
comes fully documented with a build sheet. A comfortable cruiser
