ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, 1982 FIAT SPIDER 2000, WITH JUST 58,100 ORIGINAL MILES...2 OWNER CAR, EXTREMELY WELL CARED FOR AND MAINTAINED, BEAUTIFUL COLOR COMBINATION, 5-SPEED, FUEL INJECTED, RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT....READY TO SHOW AND GO!!!
This '82 Fiat Spider 2000 has had just 2 owners and is in fantastic condition inside and out! I recently bought this awesome sports car from a gentleman who owned it for 27 years and bought it from the original owner. I have a folder full of receipts dating back to 1984. I have owned several of these cars and this is by far the best running and driving one I have had and is a true pleasure to drive at any speed. The black/tan color combination is stunning. The Italian Sports Cars are steadily on the rise right now and will make a great investment that you can also truly drive and enjoy! I will do my best to provide enough pictures and info to help you decide if this is the one for you. I will also attach a video so you can hear this Fiat start up and running. This is a great time of year to enjoy this little convertible!! I am also a transport borker and can assist in getting you a great rate on open or enclosed transport anywhere in the country and I welcome overseas buyers.
The body is in excellent condition with no rust or sign of rust anywhere. This car was always garage kept and only driven during the spring and summer months, rarely seeing rain. The gentleman I bought it from said that there were some minor bubbles over the rear wheel wells and normal rock chips down low so he decided to have the minor rust taken care of with metal and repainted from the pinstripe down. This was done 25 years ago and there is no sign of rust anywhere. The paint from the pinstrip up is original paint whihc still holds a very nice shine and was recently polished and buffed. Other than a few very tiny door dings and a few small chips that were touched up the body is in amazong condition. There is a small scratch on the trunk that was touched up years ago also. Bumpers look great. All of the glass is in great condition and front windows roll up and down nicely. I think you will see in the pics just how nice the body and paint are on this Fiat.
I hope the next lucky owner wil enjoy this Spider 2000 with the top down as much as possible but also nice to know that it does have a great convertible top that seals up nicely. The top was replaced about 10 yrs ago and overall is in great condition with just some minor wear on the the passenger side edge but no holes and it seals up great and is super easy to operate up or down. It also has the original matching boot cover for a clean look when the top is down.
The tan interior is a beautiful compliment to the black exterior and is also in fantastic condition. Front seats were recovered about 10 years in leather and show very minor signs of wear but overall look excellent and the seat foam is firm and seats are very comfortable. All of the gauges in the dash are working correctly and even the clock appears to be working. An aftermarket am/fm cassette player was neatly installed many years ago and works well. The dash pad looks fantastic and does not have any cracks like so many do. Tan carpeting looks to be in great condition and door panels are also in excellent condtion. The woodgrain on the dash looks very nice. Original 5-speed shifter in great shape. Overall the interior looks fantastic and shows very nicely.
Under the awesome double hump design of the hood of this Spider 2000 is the spirited 1995 cc DOHC 4 cylinder fuel injected spunky motor that has just over 58,000 original miles on it.This '82 Fiat runs out amazingly with plenty of torque through all 5 gears and with just over 58,000 origiinal miles is still very fresh mechanically and was always well maintained with receipts dating back to 1984 to support the low, original mileage and maintenance. I have driven and owned several of these cars and this one has truly impressed me with its performance. By far, this one is the best running Fiat I have owned. You will have no problem keeping up and passing folks on the highway and the sport suspension makes it a blast to drive along curvy roads. Braking is a breeze thanks to the 4 wheel disc brakes and steering is tight and responsive. Original wheels are in great shape and radial tires have just 3000 miles on them. Exhaust was replaced and sounds good. Undercarriage is rock solid with no rust issues. Inside of trunk looks great with original spare still under the mat. This is a turn-key, get in and go Italian Sports Car that I'm confident the next lucky owner is going to thoroughly enjoy. Be sure to watch and listen to the video to hear this fiat start up and running.
