Vehicle Description
This 1983 Dodge Ramcharger was ordered with every option when new
and that is why it is a Royal SE Prospector Edition. It was
considered Top of the Line back in the day. Purchased new in
Oakley, California where it spent most of its life before going to
Oregon and then to an owner in Michigan who used it as a summer
toy. This SUV has always been well maintained and it shows not only
in condition but also in how it runs and drives. It is an excellent
example of a stock Ramcharger.
The body on this truck is in excellent condition!! Not only did it
spend the majority of its life in California, but is was also
Ziebarted when new. You can see where some of the undercoating came
off and the paint is shiny new. It did have 1 repaint some years
ago in its original color of 2-Tone Twilight Blue. The underside is
excellent with no signs of any patches and the whole vehicle looks
to have its original metal. The interior of this Ramcharger is
original and really really nice and clean. It still has the
original radio and it also has power windows and locks.
The engine is the original 318 V8 and it was totally rebuilt 28,000
miles ago according to the paperwork spreadsheet we were given. The
engine is basically stock, but may have a little bigger Cam. The
727 Automatic Transmission was also overhauled when the engine was
done. It has the NP208 Transfer Case. There has been a lot of work
done to this truck in the last few years including New Pads and
Rotors, New Drums and Shoes, Master Cylinder, fan clutch, rebuilt
carb, tune-up, transmission flush, new shocks, AC Converted to
R134a with new condenser, and lines.
This Ramcharger runs and drives so nice and all of the lights,
blinkers, wiper, horn are working. It is like stepping back to 1983
when you get in and drive this thing. We hand pick each vehicle,
drive it, inspect it, and make sure it is ready for you to enjoy!
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives.
