The first-generation Chevrolet Camaro appeared in Chevrolet
dealerships in September 1966, for the 1967 model year on a
brand-new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform and was available as
a 2-door, 2+2 seat, hardtop (no "B" or center pillar) or
convertible with a choice of six-cylinder and V8 power plants. The
first-generation Camaro was built through the 1969 model year.
Almost all of 1967-1969 Camaros were built in the two U.S. assembly
plants: Norwood, Ohio and Van Nuys, California. This particular
head turner is finished in PPG Porsche Red for starters with a
later GM interior. This car was built to go with out a lot of
creature comforts. It is equipped with a LS3 Z06 engine that out of
the box produces over 460 HP which is mated to a L60E Automatic
Transmission, both of which are new with less than 100 miles. The
rear end is geared 3:50 with a Winter Ford 9" rear with Detroit
Locker. It has coil over adjustable springs and four wheel disc
brakes. A Powder coated tube frame with a 6 point harness. It has
brand new sheet metal with no bondo at all. There are a few things
that you would want to do to finish up but as the car sits, it is a
real Camaro with way more than the asking price in just parts. This
is a scream to drive that is essentially brand new. In, fact the
rear end still needs some break in miles.
