Vehicle Description
It's got all the charisma and charm of yesteryear and yet also
features a nice assortment of modern convenience options that
combine with a stellar exterior to make it equally well suited for
frequent driving or holding court on the local car show circuit.
Throw in some serious power under the hood and you have the winning
formula offered by this 1957 Chevrolet 3100 Restomod.
A delicate balance was achieved with flying colors on this '57. As
you move from front to back, you'll see some impressive
modifications - all skillfully performed - and yet they not only
blend well together, but also show plenty of respect for the form
this vintage truck started out with. The first thing you're likely
to notice is the red paint draped over all those exterior features.
Even by exacting standards, it's really clean and shows all the
earmarks of not only a well-planned application, but plenty of good
care afterwards. Step up close and you'll be every bit as impressed
as you would be at a distance. There's some cool customization on
display. The cabin has been chopped - yet not so much as to appear
drastic - the subtly tucked front bumper sits just underneath an
ultra-sharp grille, on the sides are custom door handles, and if
you spin around to the back, you'll see Corvette taillights in
place below the liftgate, creating a distinctive yet tasteful look
you're not likely to see anywhere else.
There's a great looking interior waiting inside the doors,
featuring a pair of modern-looking buckets that offer a nice
combination of comfort and functionality. The tan leather surfaces
of the seats and door panels show a level of quality you'd normally
expect in a modern luxury car and a custom-designed center console
between the buckets blends perfectly with its surroundings. The
matching tan, leather wrapped steering wheel sits on a tilt column,
while just forward, the dash area is really something to behold,
with its well-prepped steel surfaces glowing with red paint and a
contrasting diamond shaped instrument panel housing an assortment
of white faced VDO gauges that feature just the right vintage font
for their environment. A Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo is at the center
to handle your audio needs, while the underdash vents just below
circulate cool air to keep everyone comfortable. The floor of the
bed area in back has fresh-looking wood planks interspersed with
stainless steel reinforcements and is surrounded by walls and inner
wheelhouses with a great "wet" look to them.
Its dramatic looks might suggest it's meant primarily for a display
turntable, but this 3100 is a strong driver as well. There's a '96
LT4 V8 under the hood in a very well detailed engine compartment
that's dressed up with a billet pulley system and premium braided
hoses, and it's good for a full 330 horsepower as it teams with a
rock-solid 3-speed automatic TH400 to provide a very nice driving
experience. The engine starts easily and sends a great sound
through the mid-length headers leading to its dual exhaust. An
aluminum radiator sits up front to keep the powerplant cool, while
a fuel cell resides under the bed to offer an added measure of
safety. With power brakes that feature discs up front, as well as
power steering, stopping and navigating this classic truck is easy
and precise as it cruises on a set of show stopping 20" Foose
wheels outfitted with Toyo tires.
With its outstanding curb appeal and array of modern options
teaming with plenty of power, this 1957 Chevrolet 3100 restomod is
a classic truck force to be reckoned with. Call today!
