Buick Riviera GS. Upon its high profile debut into the automotive
market, the Riviera was meant to take the automotive industry by
storm and it did just that. This vehicle received praises from just
about everybody that laid eyes on these beautifully designed
Buicks. For 1967, Buick introduced a very significant engine into
the line-up which replaced the previous 425CID "Nailhead" V8. The
new and improved 430CID 7.0L V8 which pumped out a very impressive
360 horsepower and a whopping 475 pound feet of torque! All of this
power was catered through its Turbo-Hydramatic TH-400 3-Speed
Automatic Transmission which shifts beautifully. This 69 Buick is
powered by a 1971 Buick 455 CID V8 that was built to Stage 1 specs
which performs well with the TH 400 transmission and the posi rear
end sporting 3:42 gears. The dramatic coat of high gloss Crystal
Blue paint definitely gives this Riviera a menacing look with the
Black Vinyl top and does a great job of making all the chrome trim
on the vehicle pop. This beautiful machine rests comfortably on a
set of Original Buick Wheels with new radial tires. This 69 GS was
just one of 832 built in that model year with an automatic
transmission and was originally a California car. Recent
restoration includes a rebuilt brake system including the master
cylinder, power booster and brake lines, new gas tank, new shocks
and front suspension parts, a newer AM/FM Cd player stereo, and the
clock even works. This Riviera has all the attributes of a perfect
personal luxury car such as Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power
Brakes, Tilt Wheel, and a Black vinyl interior which is in very
good condition. You can really tell when a car is built with a
passion and purpose and this Riviera is a perfect example of just
