General Motors’ downsizing efforts in 1977 were nothing short of extraordinary. Having shed over 800 pounds and almost a foot in length, the new full-size models retained or exceeded the interior and trunk dimensions of the prior year. Each division had its own unique styling, and Pontiac’s Bonneville was one of the most attractive and luxurious.
This absolutely gorgeous 1977 Pontiac Bonneville Brougham is an unrestored survivor. Finished in its original Buckskin Metallic paint, the finish has a beautiful luster that is further accentuated by chrome and brightwork that is in excellent condition. Adding further distinction is its optional Light Buckskin Cordova vinyl top and white upper and lower pinstripes. Optional Pontiac Rallye II wheels complete the look.
The interior of this Bonneville Brougham is equally impressive, featuring comfortable seating areas finished in luxurious Buckskin crushed velour. Virtually every optional power and convenience item awaits you, including the following:
All power options work as they should, including the ice-cold air conditioning.
Performance options did not go unnoticed at the expense of luxury and appearance on this car. Under the hood you will find an optional big block 400 CID V-8 engine featuring a 4-barrel carburetor—the top Pontiac powerplant for the year. In addition to all of the expected power assists, such as power steering and power brakes, this car was ordered with an optional Safe-T-Track posi-rear differential. Recent mechanical updates include the following:
Having just completed a 500+ mile trip, this car performed beautifully.
One item of note is that the clock works sporadically. In addition, some imperfections in the original paint do not detract from the overall appearance of this car.
Originally purchased from Gnagey’s Pontiac in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania, this one-family owned car was used primarily for vacations and special occasions. Rustproofed at the dealer when new, it has never been driven in the winter. Included with sale are all of the original owner’s manuals and warranty booklets, build sheets, as well as the original sales invoice and new vehicle inspection procedure form from the dealer.
If a highly-optioned and beautiful looking late-70s luxury car is what you desire, this Bonneville Brougham is the car for you!
