Vehicle Description
This 1987 Buick Grand National is in excellent condition. One
repaint to a glass finish. Only about 2,000 miles on the original
rebuilt motor and transmission. I have put some miles on her and
boy has it been a blast. Ice cold air retrofitted to R134 keep you
cool as the lightning-quick turbo spooling acceleration gets your
heart rate up.
Exterior:
The exterior paint has been refinished to a smooth glass finish
since the 80"s paint was lackluster from the factory. The trim is
in great condition. All of the glass is in excellent condition.
Custom billet Grand National wheels.They are 10 inches wide in the
back to fit a set of brand new Nitto 275/60R15s.
Interior:
The inside of the car is in excellent original condition, all of
the gauges work as they should. Door Panels,seats,carpet,and
armrests are in excellent shape and show minimal to no wear. The
headliner is original and shows very well. The original radio is
still working, it has been upgraded with new speakers. A boost and
fuel pressure gauge on the A-pillar, a scan master on top of the
radio, oil pressure and water temp gauges under the radio are the
only changes to the interior. The power windows go up and down with
ease.
Drivetrain:
This was the fastest American production car in 1987! The original
motor with forged pistons and rods was put together with ARP
hardware by AES about 2000 miles ago, and it runs strong. The
Garrett turbo breathes through custom headers on one side and a 3
inch downpipe with an electric cut out on the other. The turbo
pushes air through a massive Precision intercooler to the polished
70 MM Precision plenum down the intake where the 50lbs injectors
take over and the magic happens! It spools to 25psi with no
detonation of any kind, The power puts you back in your seat when
boost kicks in. The dyno sheet shows 336hp and 538 ft tq. The motor
is built to hold more.This is a true sleeper.Trust me its fast. The
transmission has a shift kit and stall converter and it shifts
great and strong.
