Vehicle Description
This incredible 1940 Ford Business Coupe is the kind of rod most of
us only dream of owning. A shining fuel-injected monster motor,
performance frame/chassis, custom leather interior, and beautiful
slick paint - this is an all-eyes-on-me street rod.
The shape of the business coupes was irresistible to moonshiners
back in the day, and today we just love them for their extra
curves. That's amplified even further on a classic that was
restored with precision to maximize this look. There was a big
investment just in the Midnight Blue Metallic paint, and the result
is a super-slippery finish that looks like it could glide through
the midnight air. This is important, because the whole car was
custom built to be a very sleek machine. You see it in the
super-straight body that has a modern appearance where its only
trim is a long strip running the length of the profile. And we love
the expertly deleted bumpers that allow you to really see the depth
of the grille and how far the fender extend in the rear. And the
details were sweated, too, to keep a modern appearance with
features like the flush-mounted headlights, shaved door handles,
frenched license plate, and the dual exhaust tips fitted into the
custom roll pan. And those large Colorado Custom alloys are true
standouts to compete this unique total package.
When you pop the remote door opener, you you'll discover an
interior that's both custom and premium. It starts with custom
leather seating. With the individual bolstering, well-contoured
style, and an armrest, this supple setup is all-day comfortable.
The color of the seats coordinate with the door panels, carpeting,
headliner, and trunk for a very uniform presentation. But what will
really wow people is the burled walnut wood-like appearance around
the windows and dash. More than just look great, this coupe has the
right comfort features like power windows, push-button start, power
steering, an AM/FM/CD stereo (the hardware cleverly hidden in the
trunk,) and provisions for air conditioning. You're going to love
grabbing the Colorado Custom steering wheel that nicely coordinates
with the exterior alloys. And ahead of that is a full set of
Classic Instruments gauges so you can keep a full eye on what's
going on under the hood.
The engine bay is bright and brimming with horsepower, so you know
you'll love showing it off. You're looking at a monster 502
cubic-inch V8. While that displacement is already enough for most
of us, it's been enhanced further with a Lunati cam, aluminum
heads, and a polished Hilborn electronic fuel injection controlled
by a Fast XFI management program. The Sanderson headers add even
more power as they also contribute to the thunder out the dual
exhaust. And don't just listen to these pipes; follow their path in
the undercarriage photos. There you'll see that the package of dark
blue and polished components continues - so you'll be bringing
mirrors to car show to put under this one. You'll also notice all
the right upgrades. This is built on a strong Fat Man rectangular
tube chassis. It has a tubular A-arm front suspension, and in the
rear, is a four-link with stabilizer bar. Plus, behind each wheel
is an adjustable coilover and SSBC disc brakes. If this seems like
a terrific machine for both cruising and power driving, then you'll
love the stout TH400 three-speed automatic transmission that also
has a Gear Vendors overdrive.
Impressively built with a long list of A-list hardware, this is a
first-class rod that's poised to take home some seriously big
trophies. It's everything you want and it's available right now.
