This car is in like-new condition. It has been driven less than 33,000 miles. I highly doubt it has seen precipitation of any kind. It is not showing any damage or damage repair. The paint, wheels, interior and engine compartment look like it is brand new.
This car came to me as a trade-in. The owner holds a very nice collection of cars. While he likes to drive them, he is the only driver. He is very meticulous and attentive to detail. The condition of this car reflects him.
The Crossfire is based on the Mercedes-Benz SLK series cars. In fact, there is quite a bit of similarity in the interior, the controls, and the style. The engine is an M-B 3.2 liter 18 valve V-6 and the transmission is a 5 speed automatic with overdrive built by M-B.
These engine is rated at 215HP and 229 lb.-ft. of torque. The car is designed to go at least 155 miles per hour.
This car has the factory wheels, which are 18” in front and 19” in the rear. The tires were recently replaced with Yokohama Nitrogen-filled Y-rated tires. This means they are good to at least 185 mph.
These cars created quite the hoopla when they were offered to American Chrysler dealers. The MSRP was over $38,000 and many were sold for full price and even more.
The Limited Crossfire option means the car is nicely equipped. I would call it fully loaded. It offers nice creature comfort features, a great sound system and wonderful handling based on the Mercedes-Benz.
This particular car is just beautiful in Blaze Red Pearlcoat. It is very striking with the black cloth top. The Dark Slate gray leather interior exudes luxury.
Unfortunately, the popularity of the Crossfire waned. Often, these cars were held in collection, as was this car. The depreciation to the original owner was harsh. The good news is that the next owner has the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful car at a very reasonable price.
You can enjoy a great sports roadster based on the famous Mercedes-Benz SLK series with very low mileage. In fact, it has only been driven an average of 2300 miles per year. You can drive a barely broken-in car that is fully loaded, looking like new and do so for about 25% of what the first owner paid!
