These R's are extremely involving light-weight specials that
Porsche produced for 1 year only as a lightly disguised GT3RS, but
with the excellent 6-speed manual transmission that feels, and
sounds fantastic thanks to the lighter Single-Mass Flywheel (think
Ducati dry clutch sound, although the bell ringing isn't as
pronounced in the 991R).
