The Mercedes-Benz SL series started out as the top of the line
sports luxury tourer that offered both performance and comfort. The
third generation SL was called the R107 chassis and is one of the
most recognizable Mercedes of all time. Produced from 1971 all the
way to 1989, the R107 lived a long and cherished life. The United
States was an extremely popular market for the personal luxury
coupe and almost ? of all SL's were sold here. While not as quick
or pretty as their European cousins, the US market SL's still
represented the cream of the personal luxury car crop. The 380SL
was a mid range model that offered an excellent blend of both
efficiency and V8 performance.

380SL for your consideration. Finished in a classic shade of
Papyrus White. The paint is very nice overall, with great gloss and
just a few small stone chips. The body is very straight and in
excellent shape. Chrome and rubber trim is in good shape. US market
lights and bumpers are fitted and are in great shape as well. The
factory hard top fits well and the soft top is very nice. The
factory 14in "Bundt" alloy wheels are very nice and have BF
Goodrich tires fitted. A full size spare is in the trunk. The
interior features excellent leather seats that have a little wear
on them The wood interior trim is excellent, with no major clear
coat loss like usual. An aftermarket JVC radio is fitted, as is
power windows, power locks, power mirrors, and factory rubber floor
mats. The doors close with a reassuring thunk and the dashboard is
very nice and fully functioning.
The car is fitted with the smooth 3.8L V8 that is a solid runner
and is mated to a unobtrusive automatic transmission. The car
glides down the road like you'd expect a classic Mercedes would and
the choice of tops, large trunk, and comfortable seats mean that
this is one flexible cruiser. The current owners have enjoyed this
car for the last 15 years and have loved every minute of it! We are
