This striking 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS Custom is an overall blast. As the VIN indicates this car was built in Norwood as a Camaro 8cyl Sport Coupe. It was recently treated to a rotisserie nut and bolt restoration with only test miles since completion. Although this car would be considered show quality it was built to be driven and enjoyed. The body is straight and is dressed with a Super Sport hood, RS electric headlights and rear spoiler. During the restoration the original color of red was changed to silver which fits this car well. The silver was complemented with black accent stripes. The front windshield and the rear smoked glass are new. All of the stainless trim was restored and the door trim was wrapped in carbon fiber. The car has a great stance on the new 18” Ridler wheels that are satin black with a brushed lip. The all new interior was finished in the original color of back and looks beautiful. Everything was replaced such as the headliner, visors, rear view mirror, dash, gauges, door panels, hardware, bucket seats, seat belts, center console w/ gauges and carpet. A custom 14” Billet Specialties Formula black steering wheel, custom sound system and custom carpeted floor were added. The trunk compartment is nicely detailed with spare tire, tools and trunk mat. The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout. It’s powered by a mildly built GM 350 V8 which runs and sounds excellent. The engine has an Edelbrock Performer intake, carburetor and valve covers. It also has an MSD ignition, Powermaster high-torque starter, chrome alternator and Borgeson chrome power steering reservoir with March pulleys. The engine is cooled by a Northern aluminum radiator. The engine breathes through ceramic headers with Flow Master mufflers. The engine is coupled to a Turbo 350 automatic which shifts very nicely. It’s equipped with a 10-bolt POSI rear end with 3.66 gears and Moser cover. The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout with all new parts. It’s equipped with Competition Engineering sub-frame connectors, power brakes with front discs and all new suspension. This is a great classic American muscle car. This car has been completely serviced and detailed which is documented with an invoice that is included.
