For Sale: 1949 Cadillac Series 62 in Toccoa, Georgia

Vehicle Description

This 1949 Cadillac Series 62 is a non-running restoration project from an estate sale. The car was owned by Georgia Racing Hall of Fame, Herman Wise, a local Sprint Car Racer and car builder in Toccoa, GA. Herman won the 1971 Little 500 in Anderson, IN. Won at Williams Grove and Sealinsgrove. Herman also scored wins all over the southeast, including at the Peach Bowl, Athens Speedway, Jefco Speedway, and Toccoa in Sprints and Super Modifieds. Herman died in a traffic accident in Habersham County, GA in 2003 and this car has been at his estate since. The car was purchased by Hermans neighbor Don Robertson in the 70's and Herman purchased the car in the early 2000's and had it painted.

The car does not currently run and all of the trim pieces were removed for paint and are still with the car. The car was being restored when tragedy struck. The car comes with a bill of sale only directly from the estate executor.

This is a really good start to a project car that was started by a racing legend and just needs to be finished. For more info email [email protected] or call 706-886-0721
