Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is pleased to present this outfitted
1983 Land Rover Defender 110 Wagon for your consideration. Very few
vehicles are as notable as the Land Rover Series and Defenders.
With 67 years of uninterrupted production, the Series and Defenders
enjoyed world-wide sales and many admiring fans. With owners
ranging from the Queen of England, to the average potato farmer,
the Series and Defenders were classless and looked good in both the
city and on a safari. It is argued that they are the first and only
car recognized by remote third world populations, a true testament
to its durability and longevity. 1983 was the first year for the
longer 110 model. The long wheelbase 110 wagons are loved for their
space and utility benefits over the shorter 90 chassis. This truck
is in very solid shape and has all the right outfitting. There is
tons of patina, but the truck has probably seen tons of unique
places and is full of stories. The truck features a number of
diamond plated panels, as well as 16" steel wheels with large
tires, steel bumpers, sand shovel, off-road jack, Safari roof rack,
2000 lbs winch, hood mounted spare, auxiliary lights, and a trailer
hitch. The safari tan paint is generally nice and contrasts nicely
with the white removeable top. The interior features a basic,
functional dashboard as well as clean, black vinyl seats. The
windows slide, and the floors are hose friendly. It can't get any
more functional than this. This 1983 production model features an
eight-cylinder engine requiring unleaded fuel. It's mated to a
5-speed manual transmission and has low range 4x4. While not the
quickest truck on the road, the short gearing moves it along well
and nothing will stop this off road. To view this vehicle in
