Vehicle Description
1966 MG MGB Convertible sat for 22 years in airconditioned garage -
reason for parking: transmission dropped 2nd gear. Work completed
to enjoy driving (comes with documented history): Rebuilt
transmission - installed New clutch assembly Cleaned up engine bay.
Did some touch up painting, but trying to keep the '66 patina Gear
reduction starter - the original starter gave up Spin on oil filter
conversion (makes changing the oil easier) Major tune up - plugs,
wires, points, condenser, rotor, low tension lead and new cap
Checked the valve adjustment Oil and filter change Greased the
front suspension Checked diff fluid New oil seals, paper gaskets
and '0' ring gaskets in the rear axle assembly Installed new rear
wheel cylinders and flex hose Rebuilt brake master New clutch
master (Original type with metal bowl) Rebuilt slave cylinder and
installed new hoses New front brake calipers, pads, hoses and
hardware all new Dot 4 brake fluid Installed one new 6 volt and one
used 6 volt battery. Installed 4 new 175/70x14 tires and tubes -
having the wire wheels checked for true The MG has a stainless
steel exhaust system Has a new wiring harness, everything works
except turn signals and may be the flasher New top and new tonneau
cover Here is things that should be done: -Front suspension needs
new bushings. The kingpins are ok -The rear end makes a little
clunking, but I do not think it is anything serious but have not
driven it enough to verify. After swapping the tires, will drive a
little more. -The tach is not quite correct, maybe 300 rpm off. May
be able to adjust loop in back of tach to correct. Please Note The
