1967 Chevrolet Nova SS 327 Restored
This is a completely restored 1967 Chevrolet Chevy II SS 327. It has to be seen to truly appreciate all the work that has gone into this real SS.
The Chevrolet Chevy II/Nova was a small automobile manufactured by Chevrolet, and produced in five generations for the 1962 through 1979, and 1985 through 1988 model years. Nova was the top model in the Chevy II lineup through 1968.
Chevrolet was smart enough to put a V8 in these cars which gave them a good power-to-weight ratio and they were a fast little muscle car.
The new Black 1967 Chevrolet Nova we have at Classic Vintage Exchange is a perfect example of that as it has a great original 327 engine backed by the Powerglide transmission. It is a very original example of those pocket-rockets of 1967. The trim tag verifies this is an original SS Nova and that it is the original and correct interior also we have the original Protecta Plate and Owners Manual.
Nova versions started with the 194 cu in-line six engine but ours has the correct factory original ZK coded 327 cu in V-8 engine that looks stock with it’s factory correct valve covers and air cleaner, and all the other factory correct engine parts all in a clean, painted, and detailed engine compartment. This Nova SS coupe has a console-mounted shift lever with the factory Powerglide automatic transmission.
A government-mandated energy-absorbing steering column and safety SS steering wheel, soft interior parts such as armrests and sun visors, recessed instrument panel knobs, and front shoulder belt anchors, were included in all 1967 models and this one has them. The great black with white piping bucket seat interior really looks nice and just like it left the factory along with the chrome on the dash and center console and shifter.
The exterior of the SS has been returned to its glory with a re-paint in gorgeous black.
Its paint scheme is set-off by the rest of the exterior package that consists of the factory spinner hubcaps and whitewall tires, and cross-flag 327 emblems are on the sides and show that this SS is all business.
Available only in hardtop coupe form, the 1967 Chevrolet Nova SS looks great with its black-accented anodized aluminum grille, and sounds great now with its turbo mufflers and dual exhaust.
