Vehicle Description
1978 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Cheyenne
The Chevrolet Blazer is the sister vehicle to the GMC Jimmy and was
built to compete with the Ford Bronco.
Why This Car Is Special
This is a survivor with no restoration performed, that is still
running and driving great. It is ready to be driven and enjoyed, or
for someone to take it to the next level with a restoration.
Mechanical
The 350 CID V8 engine runs well and is backed by a Turbo 350
automatic transmission. Power steering and power brakes make this
classic SUV a breeze to drive and the master cylinder has recently
been replaced. This Blazer is equipped with A/C and a strong
manually engaging 4-wheel drive system. No worries about the normal
electrical issues old cars can have with manual front and back
windows. She is even equipped with a hitch, so you can tow your
boat or trailer wherever you need.
Interior
They don't make interiors this cool anymore. Check out the plaid
cloth inserts on the seats. Pure 70s! The red interior goes great
with the black paint and is set up with bucket seats and a center
console in the front and a bench seat in the rear. There is plenty
of storage space behind the rear seat that can be easily accessed
by dropping the tailgate. Seat belts for every passenger and a
Jensen AM/FM/Cassette player in the dash top off the list of
options inside.
Exterior
The exterior is very original and untouched. It features the stock
rally wheels, now wrapped in Sidewinder Radial tires. The white
hard top is removeable and these Blazers look great with the top on
or off. Factory bumperettes up front and diamond plate running
boards give it a tough look, and are functional.
Conclusion
These Blazers are climbing in value, and they are only all original
once.
