This is a special order 1969 Mustang Mach 1 R Code 428 Super Cobra
Jet, with approximately 35,421 original miles. It is a very rare
and collectible Mustang. Originally built April 30th, 1969, it was
restored in 2006 and has been consistently kept in a temperature
controlled environment.During restoration, the original engine was
professionally rebuilt to factory specifications. All the
powertrain components are also original; differential, oil cooler,
shaker assembly, heat shield, s-tube, smog equipment and exhaust
manifolds, and the original transmission has been rebuilt. The
motor has all the correct SCJ parts including harmonic balancer,
counter weight, cylinder heads, piston, crankshaft, and connecting
rods. This rare 69 Mach 1 runs, handles and performs as if it were
new.It is equipped with the following options; 4 speed close-ratio
transmission, 428 SCJ Drag Pack with a "W" code 4.30:1 Traction-Lok
rear differential, "Shaker Hood", power steering,
power front disc brakes, and AM radio. This one of the few SCJ Mach
1's with factory power steering and power disc brakes.The exterior
is the original "Silver Jade" paint color, which is in excellent
condition. The bright trim, glass, interior trim and upholstery are
also very nice. It needs nothing to be a very nice weekend toy, as
well as local show winner.This Mach 1 has a unique provenance! It
is part of a group of four Mach 1's ordered by the same dealer as a
special promotion, and shipped directly to Thompson Raceway in
Thompson, Ohio (Note the documentation on the Marti Report.). There
were a total of 1,026 Mustang Sportsroofs produced in 1969 equipped
with the "W" code 428 SCJ / 4.30 rear
differential combination and many of them were not Mach 1s. The
current market value for a #2 condition Mustang Mach 1 Super Cobra
