Vehicle Description
1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible
The Cutlass of the late 60s and early 70s is a great blend of
luxury and muscle. This car takes that to the next level with a
long list of options and a lot of ponies under the hood.
Why This Car Is Special
A big block V8, options galore and great looks, there isn't
anything to complain about on this 1971 Cutlass convertible.
Mechanical
A 455 cubic inch V8 engine powers this beauty down the road with a
4-barrel Edelbrock carburetor with electric choke. Dual exhaust
exits the rear with a nice rumble at idle and a downright growl
when you get into the throttle. That power is routed through a
Turbo 400 automatic transmission shifted on the floor. Power
steering and power front disc brakes provide a nice ride quality.
The suspension is left factory as these cars ride smooth as silk in
factory form.
Interior
Bucket seats and a center console add to the muscle car feeling
inside. The interior color is a pearl white, which really goes well
with the bright red paint. The factory AM radio is still in the
dash and the interior is about as stock as it can be. Woodgrain on
the door panels, dash and shifter knob are a nice touch of class.
This Olds adds to the list of options with A/C, vinyl seats, seat
belts and a power convertible top, with top boot.
Exterior
The color keyed rally wheels that were offered on these cars are
awesome. This Cutlass retains the factory rally wheels and they
have been wrapped in BF Goodrich radial TA tires. A white
convertible top accents the red paint and ties it together with the
interior. The dual exhaust exits the rear valance with fluted
chrome tips. The 71 Cutlass has features like the split grill, quad
headlights and louvered hood treatment that set it apart from other
muscle cars of the era.
Conclusion
With power on tap, plenty of creature comforts and striking good
looks this Cutlass is sure to please. It is ready to drive, enjoy
and show.
