2003 Porsche 911/996 Carrera Coupe for consideration. This vehicle
was purchased new through Porsche Exchange of Highland Park, IL. In
2005, at the dealership, the vehicle received a Porsche Warranty
Engine replacement, with a period correct 2005 3.6L H6, resolving
the IMS bearing issue. The car comes with all service records to
date, always being serviced at Porsche Certified dealers and
mechanics. It is dialed in and ready for a new garage.
Before our client acquired the vehicle, it was the exact car
featured in Car And Drivers tribute magazine to "50 Years of the
Porsche 911," which hit the stands in November of 2013. On the two
page (48 and 49) spread covering the release of the new
water-cooled platform (1999-2005) 996 model, this exact car is
photographed and wrote about. Your future Porsche could be from a
magazine.
The car is finished in stunning Midnight Blue paint over a Black
premium leather interior. As stated above, this 996 is powered by a
dealer replaced 3.6L H6 rear-mounted, water-cooled engine. It is
mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox with an upgraded 997 GT3 Shifter
assembly and has rear-wheel drive - a true sports car set up. It
also features a power sunroof, power rear spoiler, power windows,
remote key access, heated front seats, 5-spoke sport wheels, and
two sets of keys. It remains an incredible performing vehicle and a
blast to drive. A very well-kept 911.
The 60k mile service was done Porsche Exchange in 2012. Since then,
a new shifter assembly was installed (2013), new clutch installed
(2013), new lug bolts, floor mats, and battery (2013), and a full
service fluid change done in 2017 at 57k miles. It comes with all
books, manuals, 996 shop manual, and a squeaky clean CarFax report.
This is an awesome vehicle for the price we are asking here. You
