Vehicle Description
This 1978 Jeep Cherokee Chief spent most of its life in California
before coming to Michigan where it went through a restoration
around 2-3 years ago. This is a very clean and very nice Cherokee
Chief and the underside is amazing. A lot was done to this vehicle
to drive as good or better than it did in 1978. According to the
previous owner the 360 V8 is the original engine and it was
completely gone through and rebuilt. It runs Excellent!! The engine
is pretty stock but it does have a mild cam. It does have headers,
custom dual exhaust, electronic ignition, and Holley carb.
Everything is new or rebuilt under the hood. The transmission is a
Turbo 400 that was recently serviced and it shifts excellent. The
Quadratec Transfer Case has been upgraded with a part-time 4WD kit.
This Cherokee was totally gone through mechanically and should be
ready for you to drive and enjoy. It does have Power Steering with
anew steering gear box, Power Front Disc Brakes, New AC Components
(needs charge).
The body on this Chief is really really nice. These Cherokees loved
to rust, but this one was spared all of that because it is a
Southern California truck. The body is straight and clean with only
minor imperfections from driving after it was repainted in Base
Coat Clear Coat. Underside is extremely clean with the original
floor pans intact. It also has new aluminum wheels and new tires
that look amazing! The interior of this rig was completely removed
and redone...pretty much everything is new. The seats are Custom
Leather, it has new headliner, new door panels, and new carpet.
This truck runs and drives so nice and you will not be
disappointed. All of the lights, blinkers, wipers work. The only
thing we found not working was the AC as we stated earlier. We
pride ourselves in locating vehicles we would want in our own
personal collection. We hand pick each vehicle, drive it, inspect
it, and make sure it is ready for you to enjoy! We drive what we
sell so that we can give you a first hand and accurate report on
how the vehicle runs and drives.
