HORNET "Black Beauty". The legendary car designer and builder,
George Barris had his hands on the most famous cars in movie and
television. The Batmobile, Munsters Cars, Beverly Hillbillies among
thousands of others. Names like Elvis Presley, James Dean, Frank
Sinatra, Bob Hope and Sylvester Stallone just to name a few, would
be blessed by Barris' presence on studio sets working with the
actors and showing them how to work the creations built. This car
is a 1966 Chrysler Imperial built by George for promotions. It has
been updated with Green Hornet Pearl of Essence metallic paint.
Added are two sunroof's and it is powered by a freshly build
Chrysler 413ci engine. This car has appeared in many magazines
including Hot Rod 1975 and TV Guide. IT has also been shown in
museums over the years. There has been a model kit made and post
cards to replicate this gorgeous George Barris build. IT is also
featured in the hard cover book "The King of Customizers" and "The
