Central Texas mildly modified with T-5 OD five-speed earlier restoration located in west Texas. The 1964-1967 Chevelle El Camino's are some of the most collectible models. This fine example of a Texas car has a correct numbers rebuilt and upgraded 283 V8 / 245 HP engine with shot-pinged GM rods, hyper-eutectic 10:1 pistons, Dart cast iron power pack heads with 2.02/1.6 Manley stainless valves, Lunati 3/4-race hydraulic cam, 300 HP 327 intake with spread-bore 750-cfm carb, and standard ignition. The floor shifter is a correct-period shaft and ball that says "4-speed," but underneath is a '92 Camaro T-5 OD tranny with 10-bolt 370 rear gears. Exhaust is dual cast iron down-manifolds with dual glass-pack 24" mufflers, aluminized tailpipes, and chrome tips. Suspension ungraded to a GTO equivalent with sway bars and a quick-ratio steering gear. Radiator re-cored to 3-core copper with standard NOS water pump. Overhauled standard drum brakes. Reconditioned black Rally II steel wheels with NOS "SS" centers, stainless rings, and five new tires. Factory clock replaced with built-in tach, and AM radio replaced with AM/FM. 1965 GM wood steering wheel and Grant centerpiece. Bench seat replaced with naugahyde / cloth buckets including seat belts. Door pads rebuilt and re-upholstered. Replaced glass, seals, and door seals. NOS new headliner and like visors. Undercarriage, bed, and wheels blasted. Undercarriage, bed, wheels, and dash epoxy primed and epoxy painted in single phase gloss black. Exterior is epoxy primed / sealed and painted with basecoat / clearcoat polyurethane with tasteful red enamel "painted-on" pinstriping. NOS replacement for chrome lettering, bed and cab chrome / stainless caps, as well as wheel-well and headlight aluminum trim. Chrome emblems reconditioned. Bumpers re-chromed. Kraco rubber embossed bed-liner with tie-downs; no rust underneath. Comes with El Camino scripted fender maintenance mat, spare-tire cover, and all maintenance / repair manuals.
