Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this blast from
the past a 1937 Cadillac Lasalle. This Cadillac has gone through a
few minor adjustments during its 80 years. The car received a full
frame off restoration starting in 1978 and finishing in 1980.
During that time it got a new engine a rocket 350 Oldsmobile engine
connected to a GM 350 TH transmission. It has a Delco Remy
distributor. The engine has only about 30,000 miles on it since the
restoration, and the rear end is from a 1972 Chevrolet Nova. Inside
you are greeted to a clean grey cloth interior. The car still
sports its original gauges showing the engine Temperature, Oil
Pressure, Gas Tank, Battery, and speedometer. The car also sports
tiny aftermarket gauges made by Stewart Warner that sit under the
left side of the dash that help show the Water Temperature, Oil
Temperature, and Battery power. The car sits on top of 1978 Chrome
Cadillac Wire spoke rims with a custom Lasalle center cap. During
its restoration only the jack compartment was repaired with new
Metal. This Cadillac is a real blast from the past and is sure to
be a great addition to anyones collection or garage. For more
