BEFORE THE SHELBY GT-350 THERE WAS THE K-CODE
Among the most sought after First Generation Mustangs are those
with the K-Code engine - 289 cu in V-8 with solid lifters, dual
exhaust making 271 hp. The one we are offering for auction also has
a factory top-loader 4 speed with a 3.50 rear axle.
This correct number Mustang (except for upgraded carb and manifold)
was re-sprayed Ford correct Ivy Green with a black interior. New
correct chrome rally wheels with era correct U.S Royal red stripe
tires. While it currently has a Pertronix ignition system, the
original dual point unit is available along with some extra
original parts. The current owner has gone to great lengths to
preserve the 1960's high performance driving experience.
How important is the K-Code in the history of Mustang? Just
remember every GT-350 was original a K-Code.
