Vehicle Description
With a complete restoration in 2017, this 1947 Cadillac Sixty
Special with body by Fleetwood is an impressive example of
Cadillac's most luxurious model. With only 150 miles since a nut
and bolt restoration, this Cadillac is visually stunning and in
perfect condition
Described as a small limousine, this car represents the final year
of a classic era in the history of GM's most distinguished brand
dating back to the Thirties.
With the look and feel of a small limousine, this car is longer
than the pre-war models with ample legroom thanks to a 4-inch
longer wheelbase and 2-inch longer rear doors. With its roomy
interior, the Sixty Special was advertised as a five-passenger
vehicle.
One of the outstanding features of this particular Cadillac is the
plush red interior. The sofa style rear seat is done in a rich red
fabric complete with footrests and rope grips and a privacy window.
The interior is accented with beautifully finished wood trim on the
doors and the dash.
This car has been repainted in its original black and is finished
to a high standard. The flawless paint glistens. The chrome
fixtures have been re-chromed and the gleaming massive grill is
impressive and was a touchstone of these stylish luxury models.
With this 1947 model, Cadillac introduced the famous "sombrero"
stainless steel wheelcovers New white wall tires set off the car's
excellent bodyline.
Under the hood, the 346 cu. in. V8 delivers some 150 H.P. and this
car can just cruise in the style befitting the owner's status. It
runs smoothly and starts readily.
This newly restored beauty will be an award winner for a new
owner.
