Vehicle Description
The Triumph Tiger Daytona 500cc motorcycle was developed in 1966.
The "Daytona" name was derived from Triumph wins in 1966 and 1967
at the Daytona 200 motorcycle races.
This 500cc Triumph T100R is offered by the second owner. It is an
original, well preserved unrestored survivor. The original
Sherbourne green and Alaskan white tank paint is original and in
superb condition. The original Pennsylvania inspection stickers on
the rear fender and service stickers on the underside of the seat
have not been removed maintaining the bike's historical background.
Included is the original purchase invoice from November 1966. The
correct frame and engine casing numbers indicate it is one of the
early production 1967 Daytona Tigers built in late 1966. Thus, this
transition year Triumph Tiger Daytona came from the factory with a
single carburetor.
With 12,245 original miles the bike starts easily, runs and handles
great and has the classic Triumph sound. The wire harness, spark
plugs, air filter, fluids and tires are new. A recent tuning and
adjustments were done by a professional vintage motorcycle
mechanic. The original English made spark plugs, an extra set of
new plugs and points and Service-Repair manual are included.
This fine original, road worthy 60s era Triumph motorcycle will fit
nicely in any vintage collection and needs nothing.
Estimate: $8,000-$14,000
