Now for sale at our Houston showroom is this beautiful 1969
Chevrolet El Camino SS. This is a numbers matching 396 CID V8 truck
with all the power and torque you could ever want! It made 429hp on
the dyno. The sound this truck makes is amazing. The color
combination looks amazing with blue exterior and interior to match.
Cornering and stopping is made easy with power brakes and power
steering. The Turbo-400 transmission is a great match for the
torque in this truck and shifts smooth between the gears. The front
wheel bearing and seals have been replaces, parking brakes were
repaired, new tires installed about 1-year ago, all door locks
repaired to work correctly, new fan blad, clutch and fan shroud
done, new spark plugs, fuel lines and carb kit done too. All of the
bed rails have been replaced underneath. 1968 was the first year
for the third generation of El Camino, which was based on the
Chevelle station wagon and four-door sedan wheelbase. For 1969 only
minor changes took place, led by a more rounded front end styling
language. A single chrome bar connected quad headlights, and a
slotted bumper held the parking lights. New round instrument pods
replaced the former linear layout. For the first time, the
Chevrolet 350 V8 was used in an El Camino. The Super Sport group
included a 265- or 325-horsepower 396-cubic-inch V8 beneath a
double-domed hood, along with a black-out grille displaying an SS
emblem. Curiously, back-up lights moved from the rear bumper to the
tailgate, where they were ineffective when the gate was down. To
