Vehicle Description
Big V8 power, a glossy presentation, and an obtainable price... you
can read on for all details on this 1966 Ford F-100 Custom Cab, but
you already know this is one hot deal.
Ford did an amazing job in '66 with a bright chrome grille, little
fender flare in the front, power dome hood, and a sweeping line of
brightwork that runs from the front all the way down through the
styleside bed. Painted a deep black with a modern clearcoat, this
has stellar appearance when the sunlight hits it. Plus, there's an
aerodynamic bed cover, side pipe exhaust, bright chrome bumpers,
and iconic Crager SS wheels. So is this a pickup or a custom street
rod? Well considering under the soft tonneau is a steel truck bed
that's textured ready for a Home Deport Run, we'd say this truck
looks like it's always ready for work AND play.
Open the door and you'll find a bench seat covered in a cool red
and black pattern that helps set the mood for the entire interior.
The two-tone is also on the door panels and dash to continue this
sporty attitude. In fact, with the racing seatbelts, sports
steering wheel, and full Sunpro auxiliary gauge package (including
large tach,) this has a truly competition-inspired atmosphere. But
just because this is a performance pickup, doesn't mean you give up
comfortable features. The Ididit tilt steering column, cup holders,
and AM/FM/CD stereo let you know this is a truck that can be
enjoyed anytime.
You'll immediately spot your favorite upgrade the moment you see
the engine bay. That 390 cubic-inch V8 looks great, and you know
it's a big displacement because the valve covers announce it so
well. The whole presentation is tidy and mean, and this V8 has the
components to back it up. It's filled with go-fast goodies like a
large Quick Fuel 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake,
and RV cam. Plus, you have the right supporting components like the
Pertronix ignition and aluminum radiator. The long tube headers add
even more power as they also contribute to the thunder of the
3-inch dual exhaust. Making sure this monster power gets to the
ground is a TCI Street Fighter C6 three-speed automatic
transmission. This feeds the 4.22 rear end for power takeoffs. You
get a muscle car like power, and so that's why you also have
upgrades like power steering, wide BF Goodrich T/As, and front disc
brakes to easily keep it all under control. There are even new
shocks and bushings to keep this performance pickup feeling
crisp.
Slick, powerful, and absolutely memorable - this is the custom
truck you've always wanted. So don't let it go into someone else's
garage. Call today!!!
