Update 10/15/20 - A/C was partially recharged in mid August and blew cool. Pressure checked mid October and was down slightly so there is a small leak.
1974 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. Family owned since new in 1974. 39,999 miles.
Looking at the bright Canary Yellow paint and the Black and Silver pin striped velour interior I know what you are thinking, but no my dad owned a small manufacturing company. Back in the day a shiny new Cadillac was how you showed people you had arrived and you could definitely see this one coming.
Stored in attached garage 1974 through mid 90’s, thereafter inside a storage unit until mid 2019. It was then hauled by flatbed to a friends race shop where he worked to revive it. Fresh gas, new plugs, new battery, and it’s up and running now.
All the usual Cadillac luxuries: smooth 472 cu in 4bbl motor, cushy suspension, over boosted power steering, funky auto search radio, and an actual trunk so you can show your friends what a trunk used to look like. There are a few areas with some rust (see pics) which you’d kind of expect on a 46 year old car.
