This Shelby GT500 quite possibly has more significant ownership
provenance than any other example ever offered on the market!
Originally completed at the Dearborn, Michigan, plant on June
2nd, 1969, the Shelby was sold new through Shelby Ford Inc. to
a member of the famed Rothschild family in Playa Del Ray,
California, before being acquired by the famous Hollywood actor
Jackie Cooper, who also happened to be a major automotive
enthusiast. After spending many years in meticulous care, the GT500
would come under the ownership of Carroll Shelby. Though Shelby
passed away in 2012, this GT500 remained in his collection until
earlier this year. Having previously undergone a meticulous
restoration, this GT500 presents wonderfully today and is
documented by a Shelby Vehicle Authenticity Certificate, Elite
Marti report, owner’s manual and Shelby sales brochure. With
outstanding ownership history and excellent documentation, this
Shelby is one of the most significant GT500’s offered on the market
