Vehicle Description
The Dodge Dart was a compact, entry level model that was produced
from 1960 till 1976. The cars were available in a staggering number
of body, engine, and transmission configurations and the cars had
four complete redesigns in 16 years. While most models came with
thrifty I6 and V8s, the Dart was available with a number of hot
engine options all the way up to the 426cid Hemi V8. The cars sold
very well and even to this day the Dart name has a place in
enthusiast's hearts.
GR Auto Gallery is proud to present this stunning 1969 Dart GTS for
your consideration. Finished in Light Blue Poly, this beautiful car
shows extremely well. The car was treated to a full restoration in
the late 1980s that includes some sheet metal work as well as full
repaint. The car was purchased brand new by its current owner who
then regrettably sold it a few years later. The car was repurchased
from its third owner in 1983 and has been with the original owner
ever since. The car was stripped again and fully repainted 4 years
ago. The exterior is stunning, with excellent paint and trim, well
done stripes, matching blue steel wheels with hubcaps and original
GTS badging. The interior is stunning as well, with matching dash
and seats. Everything is very clean and it looks factory fresh.
It's equipped with bucket seats and a full center console with an
automatic shifter. The car also has a full size spare and jack in
the trunk.
The current owner claims that the 383cid V8 was rebuilt in 2005.
The engine was treated to all new gaskets and seals, was bored .30
over, 509 hydraulic cams, fully balanced, new pistons, 10.5:1
compression. The car also features electronic ignition, manual
steering, drum brakes, manual windows, and a fully rebuilt front
end suspension. A fabulous and stunning example of a Mopar special,
this Dart is a bullseye in the middle of driver and show queen.
