Vehicle Description
In 1941 Ford commissioned E.T. Gregorie and his team to redesign
the Deluxe model. The vertically pointed grille became more of a
curvaceous horizontal faade, and the body was refined. This
particular Deluxe Woody station wagon has an unknown early history,
but was owned by a single Massachusetts family for 45 years, during
which time it was sympathetically restored. From 2012 to 2017 it
was part of a New York-based collection and, in 2017, was purchased
by its current owner. It's finished in Cayuga Blue with a
complementary tan interior, slatted wood headliner and whitewall
tires. The wood is composed of original maple frame with
contrasting honey-rich birch panels. It's powered by a 221ci V8
engine with a single downdraft carburetor, mated to a 3-speed
manual transmission.
