Vehicle Description
A fully custom 1957 Chevrolet Cameo pickup that has been featured
in numerous publications and a Best in Show winner at the Oakland
Roadster Show. This custom truck boasts V8 power, automatic
transmission and a deluxe interior. Fiberglass panels were added to
Chevy's existing steel cargo box, saving the expense of the tooling
process required for steel panels. The tailgate of the Cameo truck
also uses a fiberglass outer panels, with latches mounted inside
and supported by retractable cables. The middle of the rear bumper
hinges downward, accessing the hidden spare tire compartment.
Unique chrome-plated taillights cap off the clean, uncluttered bed.
This truck features a custom-sewn gray leather interior with tinted
windows, soft leather seats and new carpets. The fully painted dash
features a customized sound system and in-dash air conditioning.
The fully custom leather door panels and headliner are a classic
custom truck touch and complement the correct '57 Chevy fan-shaped
speedometer, aftermarket odometer and a custom tilt steering wheel.
Intricate custom-painted window trim and belt molding add a stylish
touch. A Fluidyne aluminum radiator keeps everything running cool,
and the billet-trimmed V8 sits in a clean engine bay. The orange
metallic paint is beautiful, with only a few minor signs of wear,
with smoothed door handles and nice original chrome throughout.
Instead of the stock metal trim and contrasting paint stripe, this
truck's custom painted bed graphics harken back to the '57 Bel Air
and its unmistakable side spear. This custom truck also features
mini bumperettes and chrome corner trim out back. The look is
finished with a classic stance courtesy of an air-ride suspension
system, and a set of "big and little" Intro alloy mag wheels.
Additional features include power steering, power disc brakes,
power windows and a 400-watt stereo. Chevrolet's groundbreaking
design is showcased nicely in this nearly $250,000 build that
features a full complement of quality components throughout.
