Vehicle Description
A completely refreshed Ford came in 1935 with the 4-cylinder no
longer being offered, leaving just the 221 Cubic Inch V8 to power
every Ford car and truck. The body was lowered and new comfort
seating was designed. It was a much more modern car with a pushed
forward grille and integrating fenders into the body. Another major
design advance was integrating the trunk into the body. With many
being pulled apart for steel during war time, others being
hot-rodded or customized, it is something very special when you can
find one with that good ol' Henry steel and that flathead V8 still
in place.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this rare 1935 Ford 48
Standard sedan for your consideration. This unique vehicle is in
very nice shape overall. It has been with its current owner for
around 20 years a was repaint blue around 15 years ago. The body is
very nice and shows some lovely patina. The dark blue body is
accented by red pins stripes, red wire wheels, whitewall tires,
chrome bumpers, and large running boards. The interior features the
usual cloth seats and generally the interior is in good condition
although there is wear and tear present that one would expect from
a 80 year old vehicle. The dash is simple and features a
speedometer, fuel gauge and voltage meter.
A very unique survivor is a cool piece of pre war history and will
make an excellent conversation starter. It runs and drives well and
will be sure to turn heads.
