Vehicle Description
This 1968 Corvette L68 Resto-Mod coupe was completed in July 2017,
with 895 miles since its completion. It features a completely
rebuilt front suspension with new bushings, Steeroids manual rack &
pinion, QA1 adjustable coilovers, DeWitt dual fan aluminum radiator
and Vintage Air. The Chevy performance big-block engine was bored
.040 over to 468ci with MSD electronic ignition and tri-power-style
air cleaner, and is mated to the original Muncie 4-speed manual
transmission with new heavy-duty clutch and pressure plate. This
Vette has new driveshaft U-joints, new fuel tank sending unit and
new differential with rebuilt, original-ratio 3:08 ring & pinion.
It also has new rear shocks, with the entire suspension lowered
approximately 2". All brake calipers were rebuilt, new brake lines
were installed throughout, and the whole thing rides on
period-correct Corvette Rally wheels with Firestone Indy 500
reproduction tires. All vacuum-controlled devices have been
removed, except for the power brake vacuum. The interior was
refurbished with new carpet, new center instrument cluster bezel,
new storage compartment doors and center shift console. A radio
delete panel was installed, along with new door panels and a 13"
wood steering wheel. This Corvette was professionally stripped and
repainted in its original shade of Silverstone Silver base
coat/clear coat paint in July 2017, and sports a new long L88-style
hood and electric headlight actuators.
