This is the real deal! A Documented TV series screen used General
Lee. This is not a car from the movie, its not from a reunion show,
its not from an Auto Trader commercial, its not a car that was
jumped at Dukes fest, its not an old replica that someone claims to
be real because it came from Georgia. This is a fully documented,
registered authentic General Lee used during the 80's TV series
Dukes of Hazzard.
It was the 2nd nicest of the General Lees released by Warner Bros.
to Wayne Wooten in 1991. It was brought into use during the 3rd
season making it a fairly early car and used for a total of 5
seasons until the show was canceled. It was used for lite stunt
work and as a camera car. It is completely original, as built by
Warner Brothers, including the paint, with exception of the jambs
which were painted orange to match the car. It has the original
hand painted flag and hand painted numbers. The tires and wheels
are original and stamped Volozie. In Warner Bros inventory it was
known as car SGL26 and later updated to WGL33. It started life as a
1968 Big Block 383 with a 727 and was converted to a '69 by Warner
Bros. The original matching #'s 383 engine is still in the car!
Since the car left Warner Bros possession it has appeared at Dukes
event where nearly all of the cast and crew have autographed it.
Comes with a Warner Bros. log book showing the cars history and
work (along with other cars) during its time with WB.
If you are looking for history and historic value, this is the car!
If you are looking for a shiny car to drive on the street, check
out our Hemi replica. We recently sold another 1 of the 17 General
Lees and it didn't last on the market for 30 days. Second chances
don't come around often, don't expect a 3rd! Don't miss out on this
rare opportunity!
*This car is being offered by owner on consignment and is not
located at the museum facility. Serious buyers may see the car in
NC by appointment prior to purchase.
