This impressive 230SL is a beautiful example of a car that had big
shoes to fill and did so with elegance and charming looks.
The interior is very nice after receiving new upholstery as part of
the restoration process. The beautiful dashboard is in great shape
with clean gauges, a working Becker Radio, seats that are in very
good shape, lap belts, wood "center cubby", and wood trim on top of
dashboard which is in good condition. The odometer shows 62,340
miles.
This car runs and drives great; this 230 is very comfortable to
drive, with a smooth shifting transmission and a responsive 2.3L
engine. This car goes down the road so nicely that one may forget
that they are driving a car that is 50 years old.
The paint and body are in very good condition; all the lenses and
lights are in good condition, although there is slight blemishing
on the chrome tail-light surrounds and chrome trim at the rear of
the vehicle. This 230SL comes with the iconic "Pagoda Top" hardtop,
which when installed gives this desirable Benz an elegant
silhouette.
