The Rover 90 is powered by an inline 6 at 2.6 liters which can best be described as solid thanks to a cast iron block. This engine produced some 90 h.p. at the time. In a test report The Motor magazine recorded a top speed of 90 m.p.h. so it is aptly named the "90."

This car features right hand drive and has the quirky central gear change lever mounted on the dash designed to allow three abreast seating in the front seat.
