Here is what the current owner says:

"1979 GMC Jimmy 4x4. Carmine red and white exterior and carmine red interior. Original 350 GM Engine with original smog equipment. Passes smog check in California no problem. I bought it from a dealer in Dallas who bought it from an auction. This is a one owner car from Arkansas with the stated mileage on the odometer as original. I called the lady who owned it she said her husband had bought it for her new. Plenty of documentation to support it but I will let you make your own judgment on it. My goal was to make this truck be mechanically sound as possible. I had Deaver Spring in Santa Ana rebuild the rear end. I have had the brakes completely overhauled replacing the master cylinder and have had the front rotors and pads replaced along with rear drums. I recently replaced the transmission with a rebuilt tranny from a previous generation jimmy. I bought it from Level 10 transmission in Hamburg NJ. He explained to me how the transmission case on my model was weak and if I were going to replace the transmission worth getting previous transmission case due to its strength cost me 5k but truck runs like a top now the single best upgrade I did. I have had the heads removed and resealed. I had the radiator replace with a copper unit that is larger in size. Truck will not overheat. Replaced the cat and exhaust. I put rancho 9000 fully adjustable shocks on all 4 corners. I replaced the tires with 32X11.5 KO2 the largest tire you can put on this truck and have it remain stock ride height. No issues with rubbing. I had a light bar fabricated and powder coated for the front that carries two 6 inch KC HID lights. There is a button inside that turns them on but are activated by pushing down on the bright light actuator on the floor board. Makes it easy for on off. I also replaced the headlights with a new set of HELLA. I had new seatbelts installed as well for safety. The truck looks very stock with some tasteful upgrades was going for the looks of a Baja machine of that time period. I did replace the shift knob with a slag glass ball from the 50's that's red and white that matches the color of the car looks really cool. The Jimmy will run 70 on the freeway all day long."

This car is very well priced by a motivated consignor and comes with a clean California title and fresh smog certificate.
