I have personally owned this Chevelle for the past 15 years and never thought I'd sell it.
I searched for three years for a real 138 VIN Number Chevelle Malibu SS. I first built the car in 2004 rebuilding the entire front and rear suspension with Energy Suspension bushings, Hotchkiss tubular control arms, KYB shocks and Camaro 1LE disc brakes. A 200R4 overdrive transmission was built with a Buick Grand National torque converter, Corvette Purple Super Servo and Trans Go Shift kit.I rebuilt the numbers matching 327ci V8 and it was in the car from 2004 through 2007.
In 2007 I built the current engine that's in the car. A LS engine which for sake of simplicity is a steel block LS3. Really it's a 2004 6.0liter LQ4 .020 over balanced and blueprinted. Brand new LS3 heads w/LS3 top end, Brian Tooley spring kit, Patrick G spec camshaft.
The Engine has less than 5k miles since the complete rebuild. The engine makes 435 horsepower. Griffin aluminum radiator. GM ECU with HP Tuners software. 12bolt 3.73 posi rear end. Dunlop Direzzas on 18" Coys C5s. PPG Azure Aqua.
I also have the numbers matching 327ci short block as well as a complete set of Corvette C5 brakes for it
