Vehicle Description
We are pleased to present this 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury with a 426
ci engine. This Plymouth beauty was built on January 17, 1964 at
the Lunch Road Michigan assembly plant and sold new by Cavanaugh
Motors in Alameda California and remained in California for most of
its life. The showroom condition car was professionally restored in
its correct original color, Chestnut Metallic (code VV1) with
correct two-tone Copper and Creme bucket seat interior (code P4U).
This Sports Fury was originally a high performance big block 383 ci
with 330 HP with factory Hurst A 833 4-speed transmission. We have
all the build information to confirm the history. The engine was
professionally changed to a correct date coded 426 high performance
engine, which was an available optional engine for 1964. It is a
stage 1, 365 HP that has been enhanced by a cam and headers. The
car has the factory Sure-Grip (Posi-Traction) rear end with a 3:23
ratio for excellent highway cruising. The rear end is an updated
1965 Plymouth. The brakes have been retrofitted with power disc
front from a 1973 Dodge Dart. The ground up restoration is fully
documented with all receipts. This Fury has the factory bucket
seats and console, factory working AM-FM radio, working clock and
heater. It has the original drivers manual, original sales
literature and original California registration receipts. You will
not see many Sport Fury's like this one. It is ready to take
trophies at all the car shows!. We can arrange shipping to your
location. If you have any questions, please contact Savannah
