This 1973 Chevrolet C10 is about as pure and wonderful as American
motoring can get. A full restoration and hotrod aesthetic coupled
with a maraschino cherry red finish and notable horsepower
certainly prove that the muscle truck is far from gone. A muscular
design note sets this C10 apart, the classic step-side bed and
sinister cowl induction hood do little to hide that this example of
Detroit Iron means business.
A fresh healthy 383ci small block sends power to the rear wheels by
way of a four-speed manual Hurst shifter. Glance in the engine bay
and you'll see the pride of ownership that we love seeing on these
older trucks. The engine and firewall is void of any dirt or debris
and is ready to be proudly displayed at your local car show. Bolted
to the engine is a Holley 4-bbl carburetor, high-rise intake and a
set of gorgeous headers.
Keeping all that power in check is a fresh set of coilovers at all
four corners, and new suspension throughout. A set of American
Racing wheels clad in Toyo rubber can easily be made into
aerosolized particulates with a quick provocation of the throttle.
Stopping power is provided by Power Disc front brakes, with drums
in the rear.
Flowmasters keep the tone and rhythm of the thumping V8, but should
you be so inclined, the cabin comes with updated speakers and AM/FM
radio. Other inside amenities include ice-cold air conditioning,
adjustable tilt steering wheel, and new vinyl upholstery. A lovely
dashboard, and set of Dolphin gauges will keep the driver informed
on all happenings in the engine bay.
Up front you'll find a menacing billet grill and a chrome front
bumper with integrated fog lights. Out back a oak wood finish lines
the bed. This 1973 stepside is a perfect example for anyone looking
to capture the muscle truck era, this Chevy delivers on all
fronts.
