The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 debuted at the New York International Auto Show in 2005. Dubbed "The Badass" SUV, a total of 14,900 Grand Cherokee SRT-8s were manufactured between 2005 and 2010. It is a total performance package developed by Chrysler's Street and Racing Technology Group. Our stunning 2008 Grand Cherokee SRT-8 is a well-maintained version of this performance Jeep. Over the last few years, the current owner has invested over $9,000 in upgrades, paintwork and maintenance (receipt folder included). Certified Chrysler technicians performed most of this work. Starting with a fully equipped Grand Cherokee Limited, the SRT-8 option added a 420bhp version of the 6.1L Chrysler Hemi, a Mercedes-Benz NAG1 (WA580) 5-speed automatic transmission and a NV146 transfer case with a specially designed all-wheel-drive system that uses an electronic clutch pack to transfer 0-50% of torque to the front axle. This system has no low-range or manual controls. The chassis utilizes power steering, upgraded ABS power-assisted Bembo brakes, Bilstein performance gas charged shocks and a modified suspension that allowed the SRT8 to develop 0.92 g on the skid-pad and yielded 0-60 times of 4.6 seconds and low 13's in the quarter miles. The Cherokee SRT-8 was the fastest accelerating vehicle in the SRT lineup, second only to the Dodge Viper SRT-10. The stunning Black exterior is accented by the SRT body kit, functional Ram-Air carbon fiber hood, 20"x9" front/20"x10"rear 'Alcoa' forged aluminum alloy wheels and a performance dual exhaust w/polished tips (exiting out the middle of the rear panel). The factory black leather interior is in very good condition, fully equipped with A/C, driver/passenger/overhead airbags, power tinted windows, tilt wheel, power seats/locks, cruise, keyless entry and an AM/FM/CD/MP3/Satellite player w/750 Watt amp and sub-woofer.
