Vehicle Description
Garage Kept Motors is pleased to offer this fully-documented 1972
Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu 350 Sport Coupe for consideration.
According to the original New Vehicle Warranty pamphlet, on May 1,
1972, Olivia J. Ruether of St. Louis, MO purchased this Malibu
brand new from Matt Wright, a salesman at Koenig Chevy Center of
Crestwood, MO. We also have the original Build Sheet,
Protect-O-Plate, Original Dealer Envelope, and Original Bill of
Sale from Ms. Ruether, the first owner. Preserved documentation
like this is hard to come by, especially for a '72 Chevelle.
Our client acquired the car ten years ago, retaining all the
records and doing some minor, tastefully upgrades as well. When he
bought it, the car was freshly painted in the original Placer Gold
(code 53) paint and he elected to add the Black SS stripes. The car
is powered by the original L65 350ci/165hp V8 mated to the original
automatic column-shifted transmission. It also has power steering,
power brakes, and front disc brakes. This is a factory AC car (code
C60) although the air is not currently hooked up. According to the
build sheet, The car also cam optioned with tinted glass, door
guards, AM radio, remotes control side mirror, and rally wheels.
The wheels have been replaced by American Racing 5-spokes. It has
an upgraded 4bbl carb and a MSD electronic distributor. Our client
also recently reupholstered the interior to the original Light
Covert Elk (code 732) trim, installed a new exhaust system, and new
front and rear bumpers.
This is a beautiful car in a rare paint color, plus it has all the
original documentation, which is pretty much priceless. You'll be
hard-pressed to find another one like it. Be sure to check out all
the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors. Call
if interested or e-mail with any questions. Thank you for
looking.
