Vehicle Description
1964 Porsche 356 SC Coupe - Outlaw
VIN 218634
Four (4) owners, originally purchased new from Manhattan Auto Inc.
in Bethesda Maryland on September 5, 1964 by USAF Captain Lawrence
D. Smith. Smith was living in Ohio and soon moved moved to
Colorado. Captain Smith enjoyed the car and kept meticulous records
from day one. Every fuel stop, light bulb, oil change, etc was
recorded in his logbook. On April 19, 1979 the Porsche was sold to
Gary Wilson of Nederlands, Colorado who soon after moved to
California. Gary kept all documents and the 356 was sold with
96,800 original mileage. The third owner was Michael Locke
purchased May 24, 2014 and the fourth owner purchased November 21,
2016 until present.
Originally this 356 SC Coupe was delivered in Ruby Red - 6402 from
the factory and at one point the Captain Smith painted it Togo
Brown - 6411. When sold to the third owner, the paint had a nicely
patina without any major rust. The floor pans were solid and well
preserved, being in California for several decades. It is rare to
find such a nice solid Porsche 356 with fantastic history.
The third owner started the restoration and stripped the body to
bare metal, with all glass out, and the wiring harness removed. An
OUTLAW 356 was set up with steel modifications including: removal
of bumper openings, upper and lower horn grill openings, exhaust
openings, deco moldings. The body was then painted Anthracite Grey
Metallic.

completed and preformed the following work.
