For Sale: 1961 Volkswagen Vanagon in Cadillac, Michigan

1961 Volkswagen Vanagon crew cab in what is believed to be the rarest color offered in the commercial class line of the type 2s ''sealing wax red'' This double cab is complete and original and very solid! Believe this bus was parked sometime in the 70s in a barn and wasn't remove till 2017 when it was sold at auction for over 44k. Once purchased the bus went through a mechanical restoration to put it back into service! It now has all new tuned up and from front to rear and runs and drives great! This DC has one of the most beautiful original interiors I have ever seen in a commercial class bus. It is 100% original paint and upholstery inside and is in great condition IMO. The outside of the bus has been resprayed and loged long ago. Have spent a little time removing some of it to try and uncover the factory SWR paint on the passenger side. It looks like it could use some of the standard metal repairs on the underside. Things like outriggers and inner rockers are what stand out the most but in comparison to others available right now on the market this one is the best and is solid in all the right places! Mechanically its ready to go with all new brakes, tires and a complete service of the engine, transaxle and fuel system. It runs and drives great!
